Track marketplace returns and RTO

Import a marketplace returns report, see each return against its order, and record what came back.

User guide
These guides describe implemented workflows. You still need an account and access to the product; individual features can have separate requirements.

Where: Dashboard, Catalogue, Channels, choose a channel, Returns and RTO

Use this after you have imported that channel's orders. Kyloth reads the returns or RTO report you download from the marketplace's seller panel and matches each return to the order with the same marketplace order id. It does not connect to Amazon, Flipkart or Meesho, and the column mapping is Kyloth's, not a verified marketplace template. Importing a report never changes your stock.

  1. Download the returns report from the marketplace's seller panel and save it as CSV.
  2. Open Channels, choose the channel, and select Import returns report under Returns and RTO. Choose the file.
  3. Check which column is which. Choose the order id; add the SKU, quantity, return type, status, reason, date and return id or tracking number where the file has them. With no quantity column, each row counts as one unit.
  4. If the file has no return type column, say whether the whole file is customer returns or RTOs. Kyloth does not guess this.
  5. Select Check the reading. See the rows by type and status, how many orders match orders you imported, and any words Kyloth did not recognise. Then select Import.
  6. When a parcel reaches you, find the order under Returns and RTO and select Record what came back. Enter how many units are sellable and how many are damaged.

Each order shows whether it is a customer return or an RTO and the report's latest status: on its way back, received per the report, or refund only. A later report with a new status replaces the old one without counting the units twice. Sellable units go back into your stock once, however many times the button is pressed, and never more than the marketplace order lowered your stock by; if the order could not lower your stock when it was imported, nothing is added back. Damaged units are recorded and stay out of your stock. A recording cannot be edited; correct the stock count with a recount if you made a mistake.

Importing the same file again changes nothing. If a report was read the wrong way, select Void beside it under Reports imported and give a reason; nothing is deleted and you can import it again. On the Payouts card, a refunded order shows its return, and an RTO with no payout is not counted as unpaid. Claims for damaged or missing returns, refunds and disputes stay in the marketplace's seller panel.
