Invite a guardian to the family page or app

An invite links one guardian to one child, and works once for seven days.

These instructions are for users with approved preview access. Reading them does not enable a workspace or open public signup. Check each guide for current limits.

Before you continue
Class is an approved preview. Sign-up is closed. Use invented students and guardians; do not enter a real child's details.
  1. Open the student and find the guardian's card. Only an owner, admin or front desk can invite.
  2. Press Invite to the app and family page. The link and a QR code appear once, on your screen. Nothing is sent to anyone.
  3. The guardian opens the link in a browser, or in the app, and enters the code sent to the phone on their record. No SMS sender exists for Class yet, so in this preview no code is delivered.
  4. A second child needs a second invite, even when both records hold the same phone number.

The family page and the app show the same things: classes, attendance, fees if this guardian pays, and notices. There is no payment here yet, and students under 18 have no login. Changing a guardian's phone number ends their invites and signed-in phones for that record, and they need a new invite.
