Set up batches and the weekly timetable
Create a batch with one teacher, add its weekly classes and children, and mark holiday weeks.
Where: Class → Timetable; a batch's page
- Open Timetable and choose New batch. Only an owner or admin creates batches. Give it a name, a class if useful, a teacher, a start date and an end date if it has one. The teacher is an owner or a staff member with the Teacher role.
- Open the batch. Add each weekly class with its day, start time and length, between 15 and 480 minutes. Remove a slot from the same list.
- Under Children in this batch, an owner, admin or front-desk member adds enrolled students one at a time. Leaves batch ends a child's membership; their past registers stay.
- Changing the teacher moves the batch's children and registers to the new teacher at once, and the previous teacher stops seeing them. The change is recorded. Archive batch stops new registers; Make active again restores it.
Holiday weeks for every batch, such as Diwali, are added on Timetable; a batch's own breaks are added on its page under Weeks with no class. Choose any day and the whole week, Monday to Sunday, is taken. No register opens in those weeks.
Timetable starts with today's classes, marked Now, Next or Earlier. A class that has started shows how many students are still to mark; tap the count to open its register. When every student is marked it shows All marked, and a class that has not started shows no count. The page then shows the week as a grid, or a list of days on a phone. Use the arrows to move between weeks. Every time is India Standard Time. A teacher sees only their own batches.
Batches are your timetabled groups. They are separate from the school sections in School setup, and moving a child to a new section does not move them between batches.
