Place a student in a school section

1. Save the school, academic year and sections in School setup. Add the student through Students or an admission enquiry.
2. Open the student record and complete the guardian's enrolment-record consent. A pending or withdrawn consent cannot create a placement.
3. Open School placements. Choose the school year and find the student by name. Review the section and start date before saving.
4. Use the student's history to review a move or return. A saved change stays in that history; it does not overwrite the earlier section.

A school year ending does not end the student's enrolment. A transfer moves the student to another section in the same year. A withdrawal date is the first day outside the section. A same-day correction keeps the original entry marked as corrected. Cancelling a future placement keeps a cancelled entry.

End enrolment records the student's last enrolled day, closes current placements and cancels future ones. Re-enrolment starts today, after that last day, and requires current guardian consent. End any remaining tuition memberships in Batches first; returning never silently reopens an old batch. A deletion request cannot be cancelled through this screen.

The register shows 50 students per page. History has 25 placement entries and 25 enrolment changes per page. Use the page controls for more. If another administrator changes a record, reload and review the latest history before trying again. A retry of the same request does not create another entry.

Choosing a future school year and section is a manual placement. Automatic grade changes and a reviewed whole-year promotion tool are not available yet. This screen does not use marks or AI to decide a student's placement.

A guardian's record download includes their own child's school placements and departure/return history. Deleting the child's record also removes this history. School placements are not shared with Commerce, marketing or AI.
