Configure Razorpay for online payment

Connect your own Razorpay account, choose the payment methods to offer, and verify the resulting receipt.

Test keys (rzp_test_) work only in a local test environment and collect no real money, but they still reserve stock and create order records, so keep them away from your trading shop. Live keys (rzp_live_) are refused unless Kyloth has switched online payments on for the deployment you are using and you have confirmed live payments yourself. If Settings says online payments are not switched on, nothing you enter can take money.
  1. Obtain your Razorpay key ID, key secret and a webhook secret of your choosing. The webhook secret must have at least 16 characters. Enter them only in Kyloth Settings, never in chat or a screenshot.
  2. Open Settings, Your accounts, and the Razorpay card. Enter the key ID, key secret and webhook secret, then choose Save. Saving does not contact Razorpay to check the keys.
  3. In your Razorpay dashboard, add a webhook for the endpoint Kyloth gives you for your shop, using the same secret, and subscribe it to payment_link.paid, payment_link.expired, payment_link.cancelled and payment.failed. To have a refund confirmed without pressing Check with Razorpay, also subscribe it to refund.processed and refund.failed. Saving a secret in Kyloth does not configure Razorpay. Without the expiry and cancellation events an unpaid order is only released when you choose Check with Razorpay.
  4. Under How customers pay, turn on the online payment choice and tick the methods to offer on the payment page: UPI, cards, netbanking and wallets. At least one stays on. Choose Save payment methods.
  5. Where Settings shows Live payments, type the confirmation phrase and choose Confirm live payments. Until you do, your shop does not offer online payment with a live key. Replacing your keys clears the confirmation, and Stop taking live payments withdraws it.
  6. Place an order as a buyer. The receipt gives a link to Razorpay's own page. After paying, refresh the receipt: it changes from waiting to confirmed only when Razorpay's signed confirmation reaches Kyloth. Check the same order in Orders.
  7. If confirmation does not arrive, open the order and choose Check with Razorpay. If the receipt says the payment needs the shop's review, use Payments to review. Keep the order number and do not ask the buyer to pay again until you have checked.

A basket with a download or a course can be paid online. The buyer's download appears on the receipt only after the payment is confirmed, and a course is marked delivered by you, as for any order, after confirmation.

The saved test account supplies shopper checkout. It is not a billing provider connection for Kyloth subscription charges. Disconnecting it does not settle, refund or erase an existing payment record.
