Connect Cloudinary for product images

Save your image account, upload a photograph and check where an allowance failure occurred.

User guide
These guides describe implemented workflows. You still need an account and access to the product; individual features can have separate requirements.

Where: Dashboard, Settings, Your accounts; Catalog, product editor

You need access to the Cloudinary account that should host the shop’s new images and its CLOUDINARY_URL. The value contains a secret. Keep it out of messages and screenshots.

  1. Open Settings, Your accounts, Images: Cloudinary. Choose Connect or Replace.
  2. Paste the full CLOUDINARY_URL into the field with that name. It starts with cloudinary:// and includes the account credentials. Choose Save.
  3. Open a product in Catalog and upload a suitable photograph. Save the product’s image selection, then open the product on the storefront. Check the photograph itself, not just the saved account badge.
  4. If uploading fails, read the error and check the Cloudinary account and credentials. If you use Kyloth’s image account, check Included images in Settings. Correct the connection or allowance problem before retrying.
  5. For a CSV import, inspect the product even when the import succeeded. Remote images are fetched separately. Replace a missing photograph in the product editor when its source URL cannot be fetched.

Your account badge confirms stored credentials. It does not verify the account or move existing photographs. Disconnect removes the saved connection; later uploads may use Kyloth’s configured account only while its allowance permits them. Existing images remain with the account that received them.
