Order, stock and enquiry alerts
How everyone in your shop hears about a new order, a product running low and a bulk enquiry.
Where: Dashboard, Notifications
When your shop receives an order, a sale takes a product down to its low-stock level or sells the last one, or a shopper sends a bulk enquiry, everyone who is a member of your shop gets an alert. It appears under Your shop on the Notifications page, and the bell in the dashboard header counts it together with Kyloth's announcements. Each alert is dated by when the order, the sale or the enquiry happened.
- A cash on delivery or UPI order alerts you when it is placed. A card order alerts you once the payment is confirmed, so you are not told about a sale that did not go through.
- A low-stock alert comes from a sale that takes a product from above the low-stock level you set to at or below it, and a sale that takes it to zero tells you it has sold out. If one sale does both, you get the sold-out alert only. A product with no level set alerts you only when it sells out. You hear about each drop once, and it can alert you again after you restock above the level.
- A product with options is measured per option, against the low-stock level set on the product.
- Changing stock yourself, from the catalogue or a recount, never sends an alert. Only sales do.
- Each alert shows the order, product or enquiry as it is now, so a cancelled order or a restocked product reads as it is when you open it. An order reads Awaiting payment only while it is a card order that has not been paid and is still placed. If the order, product or enquiry has since been deleted, the alert reads This is no longer available.
- The dashboard shows the alerts of the shop you are signed into. If you are a member of more than one shop, an alert for another of your shops arrives as a browser notification that names that shop, and opening it from there may not find the page in the shop you are signed into.
- Open Notifications from the dashboard.
- Under Your shop, choose Open on an alert to go to the order, the product or your enquiries.
- Choose Mark read on an alert, or Mark all shop alerts read. Opening an alert does not mark it read.
If you have turned on browser notifications on a device, alerts can arrive there too. A browser notification can be seen on a locked screen, so it shows only your shop's name and a short line such as New order #1042 or the product's name. It never shows a customer's name, phone number, address or the amount. Open the dashboard for the details.
These alerts are not sent by email, WhatsApp or SMS. The email alert about a new order continues as before.
