Add, change or delete a dish

Name, price, category and photo, in the browser or the app.

These instructions are for users with approved preview access. Reading them does not enable a workspace or open public signup. Check each guide for current limits.

Where: Table → Menu, or More → Menu in the app

  1. Press Add dish, and give it a name and a price in rupees.
  2. Choose a category if you want one. Captains see dishes grouped by it.
  3. Add a photo if you have one: JPEG, PNG, WebP or AVIF, under 10 MB.
  4. Save. A new dish is on the menu straight away.
  • Only owners and admins can do this. Each change is recorded with who made it, and a price change records the old and new price.
  • A new price applies to orders from now on. Bills already issued keep theirs.
  • A dish with portions keeps a price per portion. Change those in Catalog, which needs Commerce.

Delete takes a dish off the menu and out of your lists. Past bills and reports stay correct. To bring it back, open Deleted and press Restore. It returns as a draft, so press Publish when you want captains to order it again.

Before you continue
If you also run a Kyloth shop, your dishes and shop products are the same records. Deleting a dish, or changing its name, price or photo, changes it in the shop too.
