Add business fields and fill additional details

Choose the details your team needs, then save answers without changing shared field definitions.

Where: Desk, Settings, Manage business fields; customer, deal or ticket details

  1. An owner or admin opens Manage business fields and chooses Customers, Deals or Tickets. Add a Text, Number, Date, Choice or Yes / No field. Review the label and choices before saving.
  2. For a starting set, preview Services, Trading or Repairs. Review the six optional suggested fields across the record types, then Add fields. Nothing is added by previewing. A label conflict or field limit refuses the whole preset rather than overwriting existing fields.
  3. Use Edit to change a label, reorder choices, mark required or archive a field. Existing value types and choice names stay fixed. Archiving preserves stored answers; restore only when the label and capacity allow it.
  4. On a customer, deal or ticket, choose Open additional details, then Edit details. Fill the active fields and Save details. No and numeric zero are valid answers; a blank optional answer clears its value.
  5. After a configuration conflict, Refresh details and reopen the editor. For an uncertain save, retry unchanged details or cancel and refresh to inspect what was saved.

Required applies when saving Additional details; it does not block every incoming lead. Workspace members can fill records, while managers control field definitions. Presets are convenience starting points, not regulatory certification. Adding the same preset again does not reset edits or restore archived fields.
