Check cash couriers have paid over

Record each courier remittance and see which delivered cash orders it covers, which are still unpaid, and which lines match no order.

User guide
These guides describe implemented workflows. You still need an account and access to the product; individual features can have separate requirements.

Where: Dashboard, Payments, Cash on delivery

A courier collects cash from your buyers and pays it to you in batches, after taking freight, a COD fee and sometimes RTO charges. Kyloth calls no courier. You bring the courier's report, and the page matches each line to your delivered cash orders by parcel number or order number.

  1. Open Payments, then Cash on delivery. Type the courier, the remittance reference and the date you received it.
  2. Under delivered orders, choose All exceptions, an unremitted age threshold, or Amount differences, then Apply filter. Results run oldest delivery first. Age is not a courier payment deadline. Open an order and record a resolution note after investigating; this does not itself record a payment.
  3. Choose the courier's report as a CSV file and whether its amounts are in rupees or paise. It needs a parcel number or an order number, and a remitted amount, on every row. Select Import remittance report.
  4. If you only have a bank credit and no report, enter the amount and select Record amount only.
  5. Read Delivered orders waiting for cash, which shows how long each has been out, and Remittance lines to look at, which shows lines with no matching order, lines for an order that was not delivered cash, a second line for the same order, and lines whose amounts differ from the order total.
  6. Add a note to any order or line you have dealt with. If you imported the wrong file, select Void on the batch and say why; it stops counting and the note stays on record.
  • A line is matched when the cash remitted plus the freight, COD fee, RTO and other charges it lists equals the order total. Otherwise the gap is shown. Whether a charge was right is between you and the courier.
  • A cash order that was shipped and then cancelled is listed as returned to sender: no cash was ever collectible.
  • The same file, or a batch with the same courier and reference, is refused rather than counted twice.
  • Matching is worked out each time you open the page, so adding a parcel number to an order later can match a line that did not match before. No order is ever changed by this page.
