Where: Mail → a mailbox

Each mailbox page shows one status that says only what has been recorded. Draft: a name only. Address reserved, no mail server connected: Kyloth has not yet connected this mailbox to a mail server, so it cannot be requested. Ready to request provisioning: a mail server is connected, and preparing a request sends nothing. Provisioning prepared: still nothing sent. Provisioning requested: waiting for the mail server. Provisioned: the mail server confirmed the mailbox.

  1. When the status is Ready to request provisioning, choose Prepare provisioning, then Start provisioning and confirm. Start is the step that asks the mail server. You can cancel a preparation before starting.
  2. Wait for the status to read Provisioned. A request can also read Outcome not yet known; Kyloth checks again and you should not start another. Blocked means it could not be carried out and no mailbox exists.
  3. Under Who can use this mailbox, choose a person, tick Can read and Can send as needed, optionally set an end date, and choose Save access. Owners and admins manage mailboxes but do not read them unless given access here.
  4. Remove access ends a person's access. Kyloth then queues revocation of that person's device logins; the shared mailbox is not suspended.
  • Revoke mailbox suspends the mailbox in Kyloth at once and asks the mail server to remove access. It reads Revoked only when the mail server confirms. Messages are not deleted, and the mailbox can be provisioned again.
  • Deleting a mailbox's messages or the mailbox itself is not part of this preview.
  • Kyloth sets how many mailboxes a business may have. The Mailboxes card shows the count, for example 2 of 5, and Create draft mailbox is disabled at the limit. Only Kyloth can change the limit.
  • Kyloth can also suspend Mail for a business. A notice at the top of the page says so. While it lasts nobody can read or send, and no new mailbox or device login can be created. Owners and admins can still open Mail and remove access. Only Kyloth can lift a suspension.
