Mail is an approved preview, not a generally available service. Public email delivery is not connected. A separate internal pilot can read synthetic local mail; this does not enable customer mailboxes or change your domain's DNS or mail routing. Reading this guide does not enable Mail for a business.
- Open Mail. Only an owner or admin of the business with Mail access can see it. Anyone else gets a page-not-found.
- Under Domains, type the domain you own and choose Add domain. Kyloth shows one TXT record: a name beginning _kyloth-mail. and a long value.
- Publish that record at your own DNS host. Kyloth does not change your DNS. Then choose Check ownership. A message says whether the record was found, was different, or could not be looked up. DNS changes can take time to appear.
- When the domain shows Ownership verified, name a draft under Mailboxes and choose Create draft mailbox. A draft is a name and nothing more.
- Open the mailbox with Manage, type the address name, pick the verified domain and choose Reserve address.
- Ownership proof covers that exact domain only, for a limited time. It does not prove anything about receiving or sending mail.
- Issue a new record replaces the shown record and clears earlier proof; use it if the record expired.
- A reserved address is a reservation. It does not mean a mailbox exists.
